Position Description:

The Healthcare Call Center Representative is in charge of helping consumers register in the state-provided online vaccination registration system, giving advice on waiting times, scheduling vaccination appointments in the state-provided online vaccination registration system, and referring customers to other resources and help-lines via interactive voice response and, if necessary, a warm handoff.

Making follow-up calls to prospective recipients who have already registered but have not yet made a vaccination appointment is part of outbound tasks. Make calls to the targeted populations to register them for vaccinations and to remind individuals who have missed or forgotten their second dose vaccine appointments. Outbound calls could also provide information about current government initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Xtend and Xtend Client’s training regarding sensitive information related to personal information and any scripts, policies, and procedures that are provided by Xtend.
  • Respond to incoming calls from state residents seeking information about the COVID-19 virus, monkeypox, the flu, and any other current health-related endeavor. Register callers for the vaccination and set up appointments using the state-provided system.
  • Give customers access to more information and help lines.
  • Call potential recipients who have registered before but haven’t made an appointment for their vaccinations as a reminder.
  • Make contact with the desired demographics to register.
  • Make contact with specific groups to inform them about health.
  • Call those who failed to remember their appointment for the second dosage of the vaccine or who have not done so yet.
  • Enter data in the safe, online client management system.
  • To help with decision-making, situational awareness, and appropriate measures to control epidemics, provide the leadership with the necessary information.
  • Maintain daily contact with the lead or supervisor regarding the tasks and activities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma from high school
  • Experience dealing with clients professionally, diplomatically, and with care for their needs (further, similar education may be substituted for the necessary amount of experience).

  • The capacity to show compassion for persons who are impacted by COVID-19 or another relevant health problem
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
  • Willingness to seek clarification, fix issues, and escalate them as needed
  • Being able to conduct professional phone interviews that reflect emotional and cultural sensitivity

  • Excellent knowledge of how to use a computer and the internet
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills the capacity to accurately communicate and capture information
