Working closely with architects and the content asset manager, this senior marketing manager will act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, assisting marketing and content writers in bridging content gaps and organizing content for captivating storytelling that enhances customer engagement, brand perception, and content performance. In order to close content gaps and inform the AWS Website product roadmap, they will oversee the intersection of content audits, analysis, and editorial. This will assist us in developing and refining the systems and procedures necessary to support an efficient content supply chain. Some essential competencies are as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in writing and communication, with the ability to create resources that inform internal teams about best practices, tactics, and concepts related to content marketing while skillfully explaining difficult ideas to audiences with and without technical background
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to persuade, comprehend, and counsel marketers on the use of efficient, well-structured storytelling to raise customer involvement
- Able to persuade page owners to conduct tests and experiments to show how to increase engagement, leads, and conversion; develop testing strategies that will provide data-driven evidence to support recommended content changes; and have a clear understanding of contextual design and structured storytelling that increases customer engagement, content reuse, and categorization.
- Is able to pinpoint areas in which fresh material needs to be produced, rewritten, or repurposed in order to assist various clients in finding the information they need at various points in their marketing journey.
Principal duties of the position
- Develop, monitor, and administer every step of the content strategy process for websites across various personas, segments, and marketing funnel stages.
- Perform the necessary research and data analysis to create a point-of-view on the AWS website’s end-to-end content strategy, along with detailed suggestions for how to modify the current content to enhance the user experience.
- Sort through vaguely stated problems, discover market challenges and possibilities for our customers and internal stakeholders, and strike a balance between strategic thought and detailed implementation.
- Compose a letter advising marketing executive leaders to design and oversee a multi-year vision for the AWS content supply chain, as well as to shift toward more centralized control over the AWS website.
- Lead the content supply chain for websites at every step while working with UX Design, SEO, Marketing, and other pertinent internal stakeholders.
- Conduct audits, appraisals, and inventories of the material that already exists while collaborating with content architects, content asset managers, and product owners. Easily explore site maps, schemas, taxonomies, and content models.
- Create frameworks to track and evaluate the effectiveness of content, establish standards, and extract knowledge for ongoing content development.
- Create AWT requirements for content operations, authoring experience, and scaling content to enable consistent high quality content creation
- Teach others to better understand the end-to-end content supply chain to assist AWS in realizing an optimized approach to planning, producing, measuring, reporting, and reusing content
- Create a strategy for curating and repurposing existing content to maximize reach and impact to improve customer engagement
- Develop analytics skills to measure content performance, set benchmarks, and derive insights for continuous content improvements
Requirements:
PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS
- Over six years of experience in professional, non-internship marketing; familiarity with utilizing metrics and data to make improvements
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and expanding cross-functional marketing initiatives;
- Proficiency in presenting outcomes to upper management;
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing data in Microsoft Excel through Tableau or Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience developing and implementing lead generation campaigns for integrated marketing, utilizing strategies such as webinars, email, lead nurture programs, live or virtual events, and CRM/sales insights
- Knowledge of Tableau and Salesforce
