Responsibilities:

Roadie is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to collaborate with developers and QA engineers, specifically working with the Intel development team. This role involves building test infrastructure for automated regression of API-based services, optimizing automation test performance and stability, and ensuring product quality through the testing process. The SDET will also work on identifying, documenting, and reporting product defects and advocating for quality throughout development.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a developer, SDET, or QA automation role
• 2+ years of coding experience in Python (preferred) or other languages like Ruby, Bash, or Javascript
• Proficiency in building and testing web APIs
• Comfort with Linux systems
• Experience with containerized systems (Kubernetes and Docker)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, preferably Pytest
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as CircleCI and Jenkins
• Proficiency in writing and analyzing complex SQL queries
• Experience with cloud solutions like AWS
• Familiarity with alerting and metrics tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, SumoLogic, Datadog, Sentry)
• Familiarity with tools like GitHub, JIRA, TestRail, Xray, and Postman
• Strong coding skills, emphasizing clean, stable, and maintainable code
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies and automated testing approaches
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with short release cycles

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with performance testing and related tools
• Experience with Python web frameworks (e.g., Django or FastAPI)
• Data modeling experience and framework creation skills
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Understanding of the full application development lifecycle
