We are looking for a Content Strategy Manager to join our team and lead the development and implementation of an evergreen content strategy aligned with global PR and business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with our editor in chief and senior editor to shape our owned channel content strategy, manage campaigns, provide content guidance to PR teams, and oversee content activation.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Collaborate with the editor in chief and senior editor to craft an evergreen content strategy in line with global PR and business goals.
- Campaign & Project Management: Lead campaigns tied to key storytelling moments across various channels, including AboutAmazon.com, Amazon social media accounts, email newsletters, and more.
- Partnership: Serve as a content thought partner to PR teams, offering guidance throughout content planning, execution, and analysis.
- Activation: Develop and maintain the evergreen content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets and website content on AboutAmazon.com and special landing pages.
- Measurement & Evaluation: Set content goals in collaboration with channel owners and implement measurement plans to assess program success. Adjust strategies in real-time based on results.
- Experimenting & Scaling: Create best practices, playbooks, and toolkits to standardize and streamline global content efforts.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or journalism.
- 6+ years of digital content or content marketing experience.
- Proficiency in data and analytics to inform content strategy.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush and Google Trends.
- Ability to use SEO tools to strategically create search-driven content.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital media or digital journalism.
- Proficiency in developing, editing, and planning web and blog content using CMS tools.
- Proven track record of strategic planning and execution of digital content campaigns with measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in keyword research and trend analysis using tools like Google Trends.
- Strong understanding of Google’s algorithm and its impact on organic search and Top News results.
- Innovative mindset to generate attention-grabbing and effective content ideas.
- Global work experience and ability to develop scalable best practices.
- Strong judgment in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of digital communications and content trends.
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial spirit.
