Responsibilities:
- Creates a vision for the creation of new procedures, instruments, and reports to enable increased productivity for Flight Operations.
- CrewPlanning & Scheduling, Crew Recovery, and Training. Communicates the goals, procedures, and priorities related to Analytics projects to a Manager of Crew Analysis, Consultants, and Principals.
- Maintains cordial connections and offers amiable assistance to all customers, whether internal and external.
- Oversees the production and delivery of presentations to unions, employees, and company executives.
- Creates instruments to give Network Planning prompt input on projects with tight deadlines.
- Collaborates on cross-functional on-time performance projects with the Operational Performance Team
- In collaboration with FP&A, gathers and maintains pay and cost-related data to support the creation of financial tools and forecasts.
- Oversaw the creation and oversight of critical Flight Ops resources, and led the development of Flight Ops Training Analytics.
- Drives staffing, crew pairings, daily open time assignment, irregular operations management, including crew recovery, operational and financial improvements.
- Coordinates topics pertaining to analytics between the Company and SWAPA, oversees research, and may speak on behalf of the Company in conflicts involving contracts and procedures.
- Analyzes suggested modifications to work rules and provides crew-related data to Labor Relations.
- Identifies the shortcomings in the current procedures and creates a plan of action to fix them.
- Facilitates the creation of crew plans Create a timeline for production tools and work with a process improvement team to automate manual processes and lower production faults.
- May carry out additional tasks as assigned by the leaders of the employees
Requirements:
Know-How, Proficiency, and Abilities
- Capacity to collaborate well with others in a team
- Ability to work closely with the Crew Resource Planning and Crew Planning Team to find problems and inconsistencies in the planning process
- Ability to draw conclusions in cases when contract language and FARs are unclear
- Proficiency in email, phone, and in-person communication
- The capacity to read and understand written materials, such as company documentation, labor contracts, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to study, comprehend, and abide by office policies and procedures; ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Proficiency in designing and delivering presentations to unions, executive leadership, and other groups
- Competent at managing and resolving challenging jobs, including a variety of conflict resolution scenarios
- Expert knowledge of databases, optimization tools, business intelligence tools, and complicated Excel models
- Capacity to collaborate with Technology Leadership on present and future data requirements for EDW and production systems
- Competent at completing tasks in a high-stress environment and under time restrictions
- The capacity to stay focused on duties even in a hectic and stressful work environment
- Capacity to responsibly handle sensitive papers and data
- Capable of overseeing a group of workers and giving prompt, honest comments
Instruction
- A GED or a high school diploma is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience is required. Computer science, mathematics, economics, aviation, business, or engineering
Expertise
- Proven track record of either directly or indirectly managing a team
- Completely operational, extensive expertise in:
- Expertise with analytics in a similar industry
- Operational research analysis, crew planning, network planning, or scheduling
- Prior Experience in Leading Teams, Projects, or Individuals
- Excel spreadsheet design, data visualization, and optimization are examples of advanced analytics.
- You must have advanced SQL experience.
Bodily Capabilities
- Capacity to carry out work tasks over extended periods of time from [a small workstation, desk, or office area]
- Ability to connect and communicate in English with people in order to fulfill the requirements of the position
- Capacity to operate a computer and additional office productivity equipment quickly and accurately enough to fulfill job requirements
