Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator role assists the Medicaid Pharmacy and Case Management team, serving both the Medicaid and MMP/DSNP lines of business. Primary responsibilities include working with clinical pharmacists and ensuring appropriate member medication use and provider prescriptions through case management. Verifying the efficacy of drug use and prescription procedures is the responsibility of this function in order to maximize member care and improve member outcomes wherever possible. Other tasks may be allocated to this position.
Requirements:
Required credentials
- There is a need for a pharmacy technician.
- The desire is for project management and project management certification.
- Both a current, valid state license and national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) are required.
Preferred Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in managed care
- 5 or more years as a registered pharmacy technician
- Preferably with 2+ years of project management experience
- 2+ years Generating reports from pharmacy databases
Education
- Candidates for this position should have at least a High School graduation, a GED, or similar experience.
