Responsibilities:

• Performs journal entry preparation and review to enable month-end close
• Reports are created and reviewed to assist trending and/or monitoring of numerous accounts.
• Reviews, investigates, and fixes reports of accounting system errors
• Creates and releases monthly and special analytical reports
• Aids in data collection for requests for financial and SOX audits
• Prepares for and helps with account reconciliations, then follows up on concerns or inquiries within the allotted time.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.

• A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or similar training or experience

Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications

• Demonstrating an ability to think creatively and with a high level of motivation and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivational ability, attention to detail, and strong time management abilities are required.
• Understanding of internal controls, basic accounting, and SOX
• Having familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Flexibility/adaptability to ongoing change and deadline-driven scheduling requirements
• The capacity to do tasks on time with little guidance
• Working well in a group setting
• The capacity to carry out repetitious tasks
