Key duties include working with field operations directors to create and implement plans that will help the division and the company meet its objectives for safety, operating and capital plans, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and leadership development.
Own base operation to ensure adherence to financial operating plan, resource optimization, and base personnel to support the flying operation and fulfill the needs of flight attendants.

Responsibilities:

  • Check to see that base leaders are carrying out their duties in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures and promoting system consistency.
  • Base and regional programs and activities inside IFS or with partners from other divisions
  • Build a relationship of mutual respect and trust with the merit team and flight attendants by using open lines of dialogue.
  • Help local leaders, flight attendants, and the Employee Involvement Group (EIG) collaborate to create, implement, and improve new and current initiatives to meet corporate and divisional objectives.
  • Create connections with cross-divisional partners, matrix IFS support groups, and local airport authorities.
  • In the community, represents Delta and our brand.
  • If not already trained as a flight attendant, you must successfully complete your initial training and keep your certifications.
  • Implement complete onboard Flight As needed, attendant duties
  • Travel necessary
  • To maintain a 24/7 global business, one must be able and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • It is necessary to ensure workplace compliance and understanding of safety.
  • Develops strategic and operational initiatives to foster a safety-conscious culture that will improve worker security and welfare.

This position’s salary ranges from $92,100 to $191,100.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)

  • Five years’ minimum experience in producing high-performing leaders and enhancing performance
  • Encourage inquiry, question established practices, and creative thought
  • Strong communication abilities both in writing and speaking, with the capacity to create documents and presentations for senior and executive leaders that are strategic and succinct.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills in a time- and pressure-constrained setting.
  • The capacity to foresee obstacles and make sensible plans to reduce dangers
  • Demonstrated expertise in resolving disputes and establishing common ground in order to win others’ cooperation
  • Possibility to collaborate and negotiate in order to influence and bring about change at all organizational levels
  • Manage and complete a number of tasks on schedule using efficient delegation mechanisms.
  • The capacity to use analytics and data to motivate employee performance
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and implementation
  • High level of familiarity with the core apps of Microsoft Office
  • Must be doing satisfactorily in current position (if internal transfer)
  • Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first
  • Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
  • Possesses legal authority to work in the United States and is at least 21 years old

WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE

  • 5+ years of similar work experience or a bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of how to handle a wide range of operational and safety situations
  • Prior employment in a senior capacity at an IFS base
  • Experience in Delta or In-Flight Service for five years
