Responsibilities:

  • Program development, design, and manufacture for repairs and modifications to aircraft interiors, including the production of cabin amenities like seats, restrooms, and galleys.
  • Coordinating programs and repairs/modifications with the help of various stakeholders, such as maintenance, planning, engineering, and materials
  • Creating and reviewing engineering papers like work cards for the AMDS (Aircraft Maintenance Document System), ER/As (Engineering Repair/ Authorizations), and AAs (Action Authorizations) that are related to the aforementioned tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering documents and the support of program implementation by serving as a mentor to junior engineering and co-op workers.
  • Proving the airworthiness and compliance with regulations of engineering papers
  • Maintaining adherence to the relevant FAA, DOT, ICAO, FCC, OSHA, and Delta’s Technical Operations Policy and Procedures (TOPP) with regard to the aforementioned obligations
  • Ensures that all operational processes and procedures are conducted in a safe manner.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)

The chosen applicant must be able to communicate in both formal and casual settings with a variety of audiences. In addition to interacting often with internal and external clients, this job also works closely with managers, leaders, PLMs, technicians, engineers, and maintenance. Candidates must be able to communicate with diverse departments, outside suppliers, and government organizations while negotiating outcomes that are agreeable to each organization. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving abilities, the capacity to create detailed action plans, and the discretionaryness necessary to manage delicate situations.

  • It is necessary to have a four-year approved undergraduate engineering degree (EE, AE, ME).
  • It is necessary to have at least three years of project engineering experience.
  • Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first.
  • Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
  • Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.

WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE

  • It would be helpful to have knowledge of Delta systems (such as AMDS, Insight, OTIS, EARTH, SCEPTRE, etc.).
  • It is preferred if you have knowledge of and experience using certification projects and Supplemental Type Certificates.
  • It is preferable to be familiar with DOT and FAR standards for cabin components, materials, coatings, and flammability requirements.
  • It is desirable if you have prior expertise with commercial airlines, the military, OEM, or MRO.
  • It is preferred that you have prior engineering project or program management expertise.
  • It would be ideal to be familiar with Delta’s Technical Operations Policies and Procedures.
