Position Description:

For ownership of strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technological projects and programs within Rapid and Rural Logistics hubs, Amazon Operations is looking for project managers with project management experience. These jobs entail defining the scope of projects, developing project plans, developing procedures, organizing and directing execution, and reporting status, risks, and process and project modifications to senior management. Project management, executive presenting abilities, and cross-team cooperation are crucial.

Essential job duties

• Plans, directs, supervises, and regulates the performance of all business, technical, financial, and administrative responsibilities of the assigned program, project, or sub-task – Recognizes and proactively manages risks by finding confusing problems and resolving them (before they become roadblocks)
• Define the project (mission, vision, and tenets), set objectives, examine data, and promote metrics-based changes.
• Operate independently in an uncertain environment, attempting to comprehend business issues, automation restrictions, scaling considerations, boundary conditions, and motivations for leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with teams outside of the business you support to source, distribute, and organize resources.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and outside teams to make sure deadlines and deliverables are reached.
• Collaborate with senior project managers and program managers to track possibilities for continuous improvement.
• Get your hands dirty and take on whatever is required; General manager/owner mentality: Establish, coordinate, and oversee project budgets
• In charge of ensuring that the project’s overall timeline allows the teams to succeed based on project milestones and Go-Live – In charge of overseeing the project’s overall budget and authorizing any purchase orders.
• Tracks and reports on all project activity, including important milestones and any circumstances that might affect project cost or schedule.
• Participates actively in Amazon’s and vendors’ safety regulations
• Up to 80% of travel is regional

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of program or project management experience – 3+ years of experience developing and implementing data-driven initiatives for process improvement – Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel’s pivot tables and Vlookups
  Expertise driving improvements with data and metrics; Working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams; Bachelor’s degree

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience leading end-to-end delivery and reporting results to top leadership
• 3+ years of experience driving process changes – Stakeholder management experience, including interacting with a variety of stakeholders at different organizational levels – Process building, project management, and schedule building experience
