Position Description
As a Business Analyst at Propel, Inc., you will have the opportunity to support the business operations and strategy for Providers – a well-known app in the US, built for low-income Americans. The app is designed to provide modern and respectful experiences around government benefits and financial services to families that have limited income. The role involves executing and improving the day-to-day operations of the advertising business in Propel. You will also work with team leaders across different functions to define processes and documentation that could help improve efficiency. You should have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, and you need to be proficient in SQL and Excel. Responsibilities
– Work closely with Customer Success Managers to understand customer goals and grow advertiser relationships
– Track, monitor, and optimize advertising campaigns using our internal system
– Provide analytical support for partners and suggest campaign optimization strategies proactively
– Improve the efficiency of campaign setup and management by defining processes and documentation
– Provide ad hoc support to the business team and other leaders as required
– Lead strategic projects on new business or partnership opportunities
Qualifications
– A minimum of 2 years of solid work experience
– Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in SQL and Excel, with experience in HTML and CSS considered a plus
– Excellent attention to detail, including double and triple-checking of work by default
– Ability to identify opportunities to improve workflows through new tools and processes
– Exceptional curiosity and the ability to play detective with data
– Comfort in navigating ambiguity, solving problems, and acting on opportunities with a bias to action.
– A growth mindset excited about learning new things and implementing new skills.

– Good communication skills, both in writing and verbal, and excellent team player
Impact Plan:
Within 1 month, you’ll
– Complete Propel’s general onboarding, including learning about the priority and workstream of each team, hearing from our users, and understanding the history of Propel and Providers App
– Learn the ropes about the Marketplace team, our Customer Success, and Operations practice
– Shadow the Business Analysts and Customer Success Managers to learn how they work with partners to set up advertising campaigns for success
– Assist Business Analysts with their campaigns to gain confidence as an analyst.
Within 3 months, you’ll
– Begin managing your portfolio of customer campaigns independently
– Be able to dig deeper and seek information without having all the answers.
Within 6 months, you’ll
– Identify opportunities to improve processes and tooling
– Start partnering with Customer Success Managers on strategic growth plans.
Within 12 months, you’ll
– Demonstrate product expertise and consistently deliver high-quality advertising campaigns to our partners.
– Proactively identify, recommend, and implement processes and tooling improvements to drive efficiency and business growth
– Serve as a strategic partner to Customer Success Managers and other internal stakeholders.
