Position Description

As a BSN/ MSN/ DNP Nursing Student Success Coordinator at CTU Online, you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring nursing students throughout their program to ensure their success. By providing support, motivation, and inspiration, you will ensure high-quality learning in accordance with school and company policies and procedures and federal, state, regional regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. You will work collaboratively with the College of Nursing leadership and faculty to optimize student experience while maintaining programmatic accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

– Provide coaching and mentorship to BSN/ MSN/ DNP students and ensure timely resolution of their issues regarding program outcomes
– Mentor MSN/DNP students in the preparation of practicum experiences, collaborate with College of Nursing leadership and faculty to promote a quality student experience
– Act as a subject matter expert for all (BSN, MSN, DNP) nursing third-party vendors to support student access issues and promote student success
– Track student progression through practicum courses, collaborate with the College of Nursing to evaluate practica processes that align with the spirit of continued quality improvement
– Coach and inspire nursing students with circumstances to ensure online course attendance
– Encourage students as they gain essential skills and knowledge necessary for success, and provide a trusting environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests
– Liaise between other departments, maintain a clear understanding of university policies, requirements, and effectively communicate them to students
– Perform other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications

– Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) required
– Active, unencumbered RN Licensure required
– Master of Science in Nursing preferred, National nursing specialty certification preferred
– Prior online education experience required (either as an online facilitator or online student)
– Experience in academic advising of nursing student population in higher education preferred
– Experience and/or knowledge in the healthcare environment and patient services
– Prior experience with nursing practicum experiences is a plus
