Position Description
Opal Labs, an innovative planning platform, is looking for a Marketing and Events Coordinator in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for the target audience, developing and executing corporate events, and managing the event budgets while collaborating with the cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
– Build relationships with the marketing team to align event strategies with the company’s objectives.
– Plan, execute and coordinate external events such as conferences and customer events.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop event outcomes, create event timelines, and elaborate on event ideas.
– Ensure cost-effective event execution by managing event budgets and negotiating vendor contracts.
– Organize logistics including venue selection, accommodation, catering, and audiovisual requirements.
– Manage registration and on-site event management while maintaining a memorable experience for attendees.
– Drive attendance using digital event marketing, including email campaigns and landing pages.
– Regularly report on event outcomes and ROI to the marketing team and company leadership.
Qualifications
– Experience in marketing, event planning, or a similar role.
– Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
– Strong interpersonal skills, creative mindset, and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
– Proficiency with marketing tools like Marketo or Intercom is a plus.
– Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
