Position Description:

The FENS Test Director is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, and execution of all test activities in support of the client solution and is a critical member of the PMO leadership team. This job will guarantee that all system testing activities are within the scope of the solution by planning and executing comprehensive testing and evaluation of the FENS contracted capabilities and the performance of the key qualities that enable the customer’s networked applications and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and administers the LAB(s) test environment, as well as supervises the team’s evaluation of supporting network technologies in order to supply application-specific functionality required to support the FENS Mission.
  • Manages activity execution in a creative and entrepreneurial manner with a focus on customer and business value.
  • Recruits, trains, and leads T&E teams for all phases of testing and evaluation (e.g., Development Test, Operational Test, Independent Operational Assessments, and Site).
  • T&E teams are developed and trained to create compliance T&E documents such as the Contractor Master Test Plan (CMTP), site/service test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Specific scenarios must be specified, designed, and accredited in order to establish realistic, operational settings for formal testing.
  • Design and deploy realistic T&E test beds at vendor and client facilities that include T&Ebest practices, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, and T&Easset compliance accreditation.
  • All T&E requirements are effectively communicated and coordinated with the customer’s test director.
  • Allows for appropriate planning, scheduling, and execution of all system test activities in order to deliver program benefits within strict timescales.
  • To achieve optimal delivery, integrates, monitors, and regulates interdependencies across all transition and transformation projects.
  • Customizes existing procedures and creates new ones as needed to facilitate cross-functional planning, scheduling, and execution across all system test activities.
  • Cross-functional risks, issues, and resource restrictions are mitigated across all system test operations.
  • All test pre-planning workshops with Verizon and the customer are facilitated.
  • Overall management assistance for all system testing activities is provided.
  • To avoid schedule disruptions, coordinates system testing with other Verizon functional groups and the customer organization.
  • As the key customer contact for all system testing activities, provides executive reporting.

What we’re searching for…

  • Bachelor of Science
  • At least ten years of test and assessment experience, as well as relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of experience with the FAA Testing Handbook
  • Experience developing and implementing offered solutions with regionally distributed workforce.
  • Worked with personnel, subcontractors, and equipment manufacturers to complete contract deliverables that met or exceeded client expectations.
  • You must be in Atlantic City.
