Position Description:

The Spares Supply Chain within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure is responsible for ensuring that the correct spare parts are in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost to satisfy global capacity requirements. Microsoft has an interesting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to handle our internal customer connections with key Engineering Groups on the Spares Supply Chain team (EG). The Spares Supply Chain is reshaping the cloud service parts supply chain to improve customer focus, quality, and efficiency. This role is critical for supporting present operational processes as well as future system modifications as part of the organization’s goal to become a world-class supply-chain and maintenance repairs and operations organization.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Engineering Groups’ single point of contact for operational support from the Spares Supply Chain.
• Reviews and drives performance at the granular level of the Engineering Group to proactively identify developing risks and gaps in Spares Supply Chain performance, influencing others through data to drive improvement efforts.
• Develops collaborative connections with key Engineering Group contacts, serving as the customer’s voice in the Spares and Warranty Supply Chain.
• Understands and supports the delivery of Engineering Group roadmaps from a Spares perspective, ensuring the Spares SC is prepared to meet growing capacity goals.
• Leads business reviews with chosen Engineering Groups to evaluate operational performance, roadmaps, and mutual areas of assistance required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, or a similar discipline is required, as well as 6+ years of professional experience in program management, process management, and process improvement.
• OR comparable experience.

Additional requirements include:

• This function requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening criteria. These criteria include, but are not limited to, the specific security screenings listed below:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter, this position will be needed to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Qualifications Preferred:

• 7+ years of Supply Chain or a comparable function experience
• Data analytics expertise Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively in a dynamic, uncertain context
• Previous expertise in Spares and/or Fulfillment processes, preferably in the high-tech industry, is preferred.
• A master’s degree in operations/industrial/manufacturing engineering or business is required.
• a track record of leading cross-functional teams to tackle tough business challenges
• Capability to synthesis disparate data sets and points of view for higher-level management
