A writer for HuffPost Shopping should be a seasoned, conversational writer with experience in creating lifestyle material pertaining to consumers, shopping, or other topics, as well as a readiness to pick up and apply best practices that increase income. In order to reduce the amount of labor readers must do in order to locate goods and services that will improve their lives, they should be dedicated to spotting daily offers and penning a range of narrative styles that bring in money. Responsibilities:
- Creating and disseminating original, shareable product tales in addition to SEO-optimized buying advice and product reviews
- Frequently engaging with subjects that are captivating, shareable, and encapsulating the current social and cultural landscape; you should have a pulse on these developments and be willing and able to convert them into stories that may be purchased.
- submitting draft content that complies with HuffPost’s style guide and standards, is neat, properly referenced, organized, and formatted.
- Pitching and creating shopping stories strategically to meet deadlines and increase audience engagement and income
- creating sale stories for the best prices that are pertinent to our audience and doing daily searches for sales
- Using Slack to communicate with the team all day long, presenting ideas and doing tasks fast
- investigating companies and goods that appeal to the HuffPost readership across a range of price points and sectors. Writers should constantly be learning more about the brands that work successfully for us and about income.

Requirements:
- At least two to four years of writing experience in the retail or eCommerce industries OR comparable experience in creating other consumer-focused service journalism
- Practical understanding of search engine optimization, affiliate data, and networks
- A strong desire to discover excellent offers and the ability to use the resources and information available to screen out bad deals
- strong familiarity with and enthusiasm for the following fields: Technology, devices, fashion, beauty, food, health, job, travel, house, pets, and parenthood
- shown interest in and thorough understanding of online shops, offers, tactics, and e-commerce
- Outstanding packaging and headline writing abilities as well as a readiness to absorb audience development team knowledge about audience behavior
- solid familiarity with the voice and readership of HuffPost or other general-interest publications
- capable of working quickly, meeting deadlines, and supporting a team that is goal-oriented.
