Responsibilities:

• In combination with assigned projects and other activities, provide engineering assistance for Wi-Fi access points, antennae, cabling, and controllers.
• Make that wireless access points, antennas, cabling, and controllers have the most recent documentation and configurations.
• Aid in the creation of solution designs, carry out peer design reviews, and send service providers modification requests
• Conduct wireless RF surveys, review them, and interpret the findings.
• Provide support and maintenance engagements, such as maintenance windows, outages, security patches, briefings, and conferences, among other supplier management tasks.

Requirements:

Qualifications requisite

• Knowledge of business WiFi networks, ideally Cisco Catalyst.
• Knowledge of the Wi-Fi RF properties and signal propagation, as well as practical expertise with predictive and active surveys using technologies that are widely used in the sector.
• Knowledge of 802.1x, EAP, RADIUS, and other enterprise wireless authentication techniques.
• Knowledge of wireless packet analysis and capture
• Knowing how to configure switches and VLANs
• Dealing with LAN network engineers and having a basic understanding of IP networking
• Fundamentals of wireless network analysis and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience with documentation (creation and upkeep). Experience in establishing and maintaining SOPs, maintenance plans, network diagrams, etc. using Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to support the creation of technical work statements and bills of materials
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Conducting Wi-Fi surveys, inspections, and measurements will necessitate frequent on-site work, both indoors and outside. The applicant must possess dependable transportation and be physically competent of conducting wireless surveys while using a laptop and related wireless measuring equipment.

Preferred Requirements

• A plus is having Cisco Wireless Certification (CCNA, CCNP)
• A plus would be additional wireless industry certification (CWNA).
• A plus is ITIL certification.

Necessary education

• A computer science bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree and appropriate work experience.
