Position Description:

In order to provide the best player experience possible, Red Storm Entertainment is seeking a Senior UI Artist to join our interdisciplinary and multinational team. Active communication and collaboration are key to the success of our team, and everyone is motivated to succeed. As a Senior UI Artist, you will direct intermediate/junior UI Artist(s) in adhering to these rules while also setting up the UI pipeline and documentation standards.

HOW YOU’LL ACT:

  • Using Adobe Suite, Figma, or 3D tools, concept and design static and animated UI for in-game displays, features, and content that are simple to comprehend, simple to navigate, and convey information for a superior end user experience.
  • To support team-wide project communication, vision, and marketing requirements, provide AAA artwork.
  • Create the final interface by creating logical user interface flows.
  • Apply and maintain consistency throughout the whole project interface by carrying out UI design with a careful eye for detail at all levels, keeping in mind the overall aesthetic treatment and screen-to-screen UI positioning.
  • Engage in open dialogue and teamwork with all team members to create and preserve a positive work environment.
  • Prioritize and fill up design gaps while contributing to and iterating on original ideas.
  • Maintain style guide resources to guarantee uniformity throughout the department.
  • Share your knowledge and mentorship with other UI artists.
  • Work along with the QA division to find and point out visual inconsistencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience working as a UI artist in video games, or something comparable
  • A team-first mentality and a leadership outlook that has been demonstrated to be effective
  • a keen sense of quality, and a constant quest for improvement.
  • positive outlook on fixing UX and game design issues while taking accessibility and work-flow optimization into consideration.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with team members from various fields and with varied personality types.
  • an aptitude for providing and receiving constructive criticism.
  • UI design and art experience, as well as a drive to actively monitor and use modern visual UI trends and UI patterns
  • extensive understanding of and proficiency with Figma and Adobe Suite applications for visual and motion design
  • the capacity to create and improve upon current UI pipelines and documentation
  • a fundamental knowledge of the practical advantages and restrictions of engine technology
  • a fundamental knowledge of the development of shaders and special effects

An advantage would be:

  • knowledge of or practical expertise with scripting languages, coding languages, or node-based editors (such as C#, Python, Java, etc.).
  • a wish to develop into a leadership position.
  • UI development for AAA productions with a track record from conception to release
  • knowledge of memory management and spritesheet.
  • Portfolio displaying a variety of works
