Responsibilities:

  • To validate new designs and solutions, create MVP (Minimum Viable Product) projects and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
  • Will actively engage in code reviews as well as producing and developing code, working with front- and back-end technologies, and cloud infrastructures.
  • To determine software design and performance requirements, analyze user requirements.
  • Debug current software and fix bugs
  • Offer suggestions for enhancing the standards for documentation and software development processes.
  • Create and code new software, or add features to current software.
  • Writes specifications-compliant code. creates software programs and tools
  • Completes programming and executes testing and application debugging
  • Uses Agile development approaches to create software apps and tools.
  • On AWS, create, build, and maintain web apps.
  • Utilize AWS to implement scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Use EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront technologies provided by AWS to create and deploy web applications.
  • Work with the development team to make sure that the performance and scalability of all apps are maximized.
  • Issues with online apps and infrastructure should be investigated and fixed.
  • Work with other teams to enhance the web apps’ general architecture and design.
  • Keep up with the most recent AWS and web development technological developments.

This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)

  • Strong web development and technology skills, including knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Django
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or a closely related topic
  • Having knowledge of EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront among other AWS services
  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of SQL and database systems
  • Working knowledge of the Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Powerful analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Working in a quick-paced, flexible setting
  • Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first.
  • Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
  • Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
  • Shows that protecting privacy is a top concern while using personal data

WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE

  • Knowledge of the airline business is a plus
  • Preferably, you have prior experience working in an airline IT setting.
  • Highly motivated and eager to work in a business with a quick pace
  • A plus is having previous experience with agile development and frequent releases.
