We’re looking for a technical writer right now, and we’re willing to hire someone remotely in the US. The successful content production team appreciates teamwork, collaboration, technical proficiency, and attention to detail. The ideal applicant will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and drive to the table. The manager of technical writing will get your reports.

Responsibilities:

• Provide thorough technical documentation for developers, security administrators, and solution architects, among other readers.
• Keep up with Ping Identity product releases and identity security technology.
• Oversee the updating of current API documentation and produce new documentation for new use cases or APIs.
• To define project requirements, work together with lead authors, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Create timelines and plans for documentation.
• Acquire and preserve up-to-date product knowledge.
• Keep your tone and style consistent.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems OR a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or a similar discipline.
• Two or more years of expertise creating, testing, and documenting APIs.
• familiarity with Java APIs and REST.
• familiarity with writing in a code-editing document
• The capacity and drive to pick up new skills and technology when needed.
• outstanding communication skills in the English language, both written and spoken.
• strong attention to detail and a desire to make already completed work better.

You stand to gain if:
