Responsibilities:
- Develop best practices with a team of developers, focusing on java, cloud-based development, and system dependability.
- Team members with regard to system architecture, design, development, build, deployment, and maintenance.
- Is responsible for the application design and takes part in all stages of the software development lifecycle. builds large-scale, highly available applications and implements them.
- Defines the product’s technical roadmap in collaboration with the architect, provides design and technical governance, and establishes technical standards, such as software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
- Both the product’s vision and the technology roadmap when evaluating the needs for the product and putting forward solutions
- Works closely with architecture to ensure that choices are made that will support long-term enterprise growth
- Creates the necessary paperwork for technical designs, engineering procedures, and project choices.
- Creates instruments and patterns to quicken development and delivery
- Enhances current procedures, security, and performance by investigating and putting into practice new technologies and solutions.
- Collaborates with the central architecture team of IT to create cross-departmental services and applications.
- Serves as the product’s technical subject matter expert (SME)
- Evaluates novel tools and technologies, guides POCs to test novel concepts, and promotes sound design principles
- Investigates and debugs complex problems, then finds and applies solutions.
- Collaborates with the department of production operations to make sure that deployments go well and that customer group support is provided
- When necessary, puts in extra time, including weekends and nights, to support the business
Requirements:
Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, information systems (CIS/MIS), computer science, or a closely related technical field, or comparable experience or training
- 5 years of experience using ITIL, Agile, XP, or comparable techniques to achieve SDLC solutions
Prior work experience and education are preferred qualifications.
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology, information systems (CIS/MIS), engineering, or a closely related technical field, or comparable experience/training
- 8+ years of expertise using ITIL, Agile, XP, or comparable techniques to achieve SDLC solutions
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience
- Knowledge of the airline sector, including Sabre, business procedures, and enabling technologies
Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications
- Knowledge and practical expertise with:
- Cloud computing, Azure, and Kubernetes
- Architecture for microservices and JavaScript MVC frameworks
- Spring, Java EE, or Java SE
- Java, JSP, JMS, JAXB, JDBC, Angular, XML, SOAP/REST, and other web development technologies are examples of J2EE technologies.
- Angular, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, GIT, JQuery, and front-end development
- UML, SOA principles and patterns, EAI patterns, and Java/Java EE design patterns
- Having knowledge of at least one web framework, ideally one that uses Spring or Spring BootService-oriented application development patterns and object-oriented design principles
- Tools for testing and diagnostics, including ADX, Dynatrace, Splunk, LISA, and SOAP UI
- Selenium, Nexus Repository, Hygieia, SonarQube, Fortify on Demand, GitHub, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, Logstaash, Kibana, and New Relic are more Dev Ops toolchains.
