From January to June 2023, this position will be a six-month co-op to join AR full-time (40 hours per week). Opportunities for co-ops with Amazon Robotics will be based in the Greater Boston Region at our two cutting-edge locations in Westborough and North Reading, Massachusetts. Interns get a rare opportunity to visit robotics testing labs and manufacturing plants right on both campuses.

You will collaborate closely with simulation engineers who are creating virtual robotic worlds in this position. Using tools like Blender and Unity, you’ll bring these environments to life. Predictive analytics, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, autonomous movement and mobility, and many other technologies are now being worked on in hardware and software.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinators of the programming and design teams
  • Acquiring knowledge of and creating technological tools for a project
  • Setting up art production workflows
  • Assisting engineers and artists in the 3D art pipeline
  • Contributing to the performance and validation of assets
  • Resolving difficult technological problems while developing
  • Choosing the software and equipment needed for the construction of Digital Twins
  • Constructing, managing, and working with programmers on resources and pipelines
  • Keeping up with technical writing

Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Enrolled with at least one semester of study remaining in a degree program in computer science, visual effects, graphic design, animation, or similar subject after completing co-op.
  • Must be qualified and available for a 6-month co-op that is full-time (40 hours per week) between January and June 2023.
  • Experience using Maya, Houdini, or Blender as a substance designer or substance painter
  • Real-Time Photoreal Shaders in any Game Engine Experience
  • Excellent knowledge of PBR and MDL (Material Definition Language)

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • More Omniverse Applications and the NVIDIA Omniverse Kit
  • Java, C#, C++
  • Material Designer for 3D Studio Max
  • knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • knowledge of USD-based pipelines and procedures
  • experience with photogrammetry or 3D scanning
  • Excellent knowledge of PBR and MDL (Material Definition Language)
  • Previous work portfolio advantageous.

Our pay is in line with the cost of labor in different US regions. In our lowest geographic area, the basic pay for this position is $31.15 per hour, while in our highest geographic market, it is $78.37 per hour. Compensation is based on a number of variables, including market location, and may change in accordance with knowledge, abilities, and experience pertinent to the position.
