You will create digital twins of Amazon facilities and the robotic systems used to automate them in the present and the future as a Technical Artist on the Virtual Systems Team. To model the future, you will collaborate closely with simulation engineers and solution designers. Before any concrete is poured or steel is erected, your work will be used to synthetically produce data sets for training algorithms and verifying solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinators of the programming and design teams
  • Acquiring knowledge of and creating technological tools for a project
  • Setting up art production workflows
  • Assisting engineers and artists in the 3D art pipeline
  • Contributing to the performance and validation of assets
  • Resolving difficult technological problems while developing
  • Choosing the software and equipment needed for the construction of Digital Twins
  • Constructing, managing, and working with programmers on resources and pipelines
  • Keeping up with technical writing

About the group

The creation of simulation models by the Virtual Systems Team enables the design, visualization, and optimization of robotic solutions. Our customers utilize our simulation to reduce the risk associated with complicated programs, shorten the time spent on research and development, and optimize virtual models of new robotics, increasing network performance and saving millions of dollars.

Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Maya or Houdini
  • Knowledge of VEX or MEL
  • Python knowledge Experience with at least one game engine, such as Lumberyard, Unreal Engine, or Unity

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Other Omniverse Apps and the NVIDIA Omniverse Kit
  • Substance Designer for 3D Studio Max in C++, C#, and Java
  • Knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Knowledge of USD-based pipelines and procedures
  • Experience with photogrammetry or 3D scanning
  • Excellent knowledge of PBR and MDL (Material Definition Language)
