Responsibilities:

In order to design, architect, and deliver highly impacting solutions to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, you will collaborate directly with our scientific end-users. Understanding scientists’ and R&D needs, analyzing their data environments, helping with the design and execution of our solutions, and supporting integration with clients’ data systems are all part of the job description of a Technical Architect. This is a customer-facing, customer-focused role that calls for a thorough understanding of data management as well as prior constructing, architecting, creating, and putting into practice highly distributed, international cloud-based system implementation experience. You will design and create serverless and/or containerized SaaS/PaaS applications by utilizing AWS services.

  • Cloud-based systems that are secure, scalable, and well-architected and designed.
  • Effectively collaborate with Project Managers, Product Managers, Solutions Architects, Data Engineers, Customer Success, Data Architects, and Engineering; also work with external stakeholders.
  • Define scientific use cases and collaborate with lab managers and scientists to create a data architecture and solution using the Tetra Data Platform (or R&D IT with lab data responsibilities).
  • Manage change management on behalf of the client while gathering input for future enhancements.
  • Describe data architecture concepts to non-technical individuals and use business language to convey the value-add offers.
  • Examine intricate data challenges and create attractive frameworks that are secure, scalable, extensible, cohesive, and not overly designed.
  • Create and update architectural documentation, and oversee the development of Data Architecture standards.

Requirements:

  • Expertise developing, designing, constructing, and deploying widely dispersed, international cloud-based systems.
  • Architect and develop serverless and/or containerized software by utilizing AWS services.
  • familiarity with hybrid cloud deployments, on-premises-to-cloud migration roadmaps, and organized enterprise architecture techniques.
  • five years or more of expertise developing applications using OOP languages (Python, Node.JS, Typescript, etc.)
  • a thorough comprehension of the advantages of the serverless and microservice models.
  • familiarity in using software interfaces, such as SDKs or APIs.
  • While not necessary, professional expertise in informatics or life sciences R&D/IT is preferred. Highly appreciated is prior bench or data science experience.
  • outstanding written, verbal, business, and technical communication abilities.
  • adept in switching between contexts and managing several projects.

Desired Capabilities and Prior Experience

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Greenplum, and RedShift, or with DynamoDB in particular.
  • Proficient in Python programming using MATLAB, Dataweave, Numpy, Pandas, CSV, TraceBack, JSON, and pyodbc.
  • a history of creating scalable cloud data pipelines and familiarity with AWS or Azure.
  • It is preferred to have prior experience working with unstructured or scientific data.
  • Preferably, you have an MS or PhD in computer science or a related field.
  • a track record of successfully managing implementation teams and implementing best practices in large-scale enterprise integration and transformation projects spanning numerous enterprise business areas.
  • Understanding of integration patterns, tools, and the capacity to recognize appropriate patterns and elucidate the immediate and long-term effects of applying them.
  • strong grasp of what governance models should be established and how to implement them, as well as the ability to assist clients in understanding their transformation journeys (i.e. maturity assessment).
  • a great deal of experience in DevOps automation and a track record of successful real-world examples
