A Support Specialist I is required by one of our Fortune 500 clients to plan, evaluate, and resolve inbound worldwide employee support contacts. Using a variety of remote access techniques across a network, offers assistance to staff members who have reported technical, hardware, and information technology problems with laptops and desktops from local and remote individuals (may also provide candidate and branch site help as needed). On behalf of the customer, provides prompt problem resolution or escalates issues to the proper technical escalation specialists. Maintains successful user interactions, communicates timely case (incident) status updates to management and end users, and complies with customer service standards when providing remote IT assistance. This position is remote.


  • Respond to front-line support interactions from distant consultants with the ability to help users with basic technical problem-solving and “how to” questions.
  • Assign support interactions to the proper level of support when more help is required.
  • Perform service interactions with corporate and field users, and enter all occurrences of support into the incident database maintained by the support team.
  • Pay attention to helpful criticism, and implement it into your working approach on a daily basis. Examine areas for development and aggressively explore the best techniques.


  • Equivalent to a high school diploma. preferred is a college degree.
  • Network Essentials and A+ are preferred.
  • Preferable is one year of technical support expertise.
  • Basic understanding of PC problems.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency at a basic level.
  • Knowledge of the Windows operating system and remote connectivity techniques
  • Effective interpersonal, writing, and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to operate alone and collaboratively utilizing predetermined procedures.
  • Possibility of displaying a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge-sharing with the team

This position typically pays between $20.67 and $30.77 per hour. The price is flexible based on location and experience.
