Responsibilities:

  • Nurture prospects and provide support to Strategic and Enterprise customers to help increase enterprise sales.
  • Lead workshops on discovery, qualification, technical demonstrations, and evidence of value for potential clients wishing to adopt an API-first development mindset.
  • Respond to technical queries or concerns from Postman users and offer fixes or workarounds to meet their needs.
  • Recognize our clients’ current workflows in great detail and how they may implement best practices for API-first development.
  • Communicate client opinions to the relevant teams and act as a general customer advocate.
  • Keep abreast with the API market’s problems, developments, and competitive environment.
  • As needed, develop workflows, tooling, and proof of concept integrations to assist potential clients.
  • Uphold and enhance customer sandbox settings and optimal workflow procedures for utilizing the product.
  • Serve as a technical go-between for sales and other teams to effectively meet the demands of our clients.

Requirements:

  • Six plus years of expertise in enterprise sales and solutions engineering
  • Two or more years’ experience in software development
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline, or appropriate professional experience
  • Significant experience working with customers and being at ease interacting with technologists at all levels, including QA, product, and engineering executives. Ability to effectively communicate Postman’s value proposition to senior management and executive audiences.
  • Capacity to establish strong, enduring bonds with Enterprise/Strategic clients
  • strong knowledge of APIs and expertise creating and utilizing APIs in a variety of domains
  • a thorough knowledge of DevOps and contemporary development approaches combined with a respect for the software development life cycle
  • familiar with the major security risks of cloud services and the business SaaS sales process
  • expertise using enterprise sales techniques and methods, such as Command of the Message, Challenger Sale, MEDDIC, etc.
  • Good listener who avoids assuming the answers and instead tries to understand what the customer is attempting to accomplish
  • acquainted with the standard tools used by developers, such as cloud computing services, IDEs, Git, CI/CD, monitoring services, microservices, and containers.
  • Quick learner who is enthusiastic about and eager to continuously pick up new technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written presenting abilities
