MUST HAVE BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING

STRONGLY PREFER PUBLIC ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE, IDEALLY WITH A NATIONAL FIRM OR THE BIG 4

Robert Half is working with a client from all over the world to find a Staff Accountant for their corporate accounting team. Most of the people in the company came from the Big 4 or public accounting, so you will be working with strong leaders and peers. This is a great permanent job for an experienced Staff Accountant that can be done completely from home for the right person.

As Staff Accountant, you will make journal entries, close the books at the end of each month and year, reconcile the bank, and reconcile other general ledger accounts. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for different parts of internal reporting.

Also, you will help with compliance, talk to our external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over reporting schedules. This job is a chance to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. It is challenging and has many different parts.

Responsibilities:

  • A lot of experience with balance sheet account reconciliations at the end of each month
  • Keep track of journal entries and make sure they match up.
  • Handle billings, transactions, and matching up between companies.
  • Make monthly financial close workbooks to help with the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process.
  • Put together analyses for the monthly balance sheets and income statements.
  • Set up, keep up, and stick to internal controls and accounting procedures that make sure GAAP is followed.
  • Reporting on a case-by-case basis and doing special projects when asked to do so

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
  • Experience in public accounting preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Has at least two years of recent, relevant accounting experience
  • Pays close attention to details and has good organizational and writing skills
  • Is self-motivated and has high moral standards
