Responsibilities:

Software Development Engineers write code using agile principles like “keep it simple,” test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, polyglot programming, and microservice design. A SDE’s main job is to design and implement modernized business applications for development, testing, staging, and production environments.

The Software Development Engineer – TechOps Technology Solutions (TTS) will be in charge of designing, developing, documenting, testing, and fixing bugs in both new and existing software in the TTS suite of applications. The Software Development Engineer must have a strong understanding of user and process requirements and be able to make sure that those requirements can be met with quality deliverables.

  • Among other things, responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and showing users new front-end and back-end features and parts to make sure they meet requirements.
  • Helping to design, implement, and improve related methods, tools, and workflows.
  • Work with the technical teams, business teams, and product managers to make sure that the code that is written meets their vision.
  • Create solutions that meet both technical and functional needs.
  • Align with the requirements of Security/Compliance frameworks and controls.
  • Have good posture. If possible, write automated tests before writing code.
  • Write code.
  • Make delivery pipelines and scripts that automate deployment.
  • Set up services, such as monitoring and databases.
  • Service Reliability Engineering should be used.
  • Fix problems from the development phase through the production phase, which means you have to be available to help with production.
  • This job can be done in either Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis, MN.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO WIN (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 3 to 5 years of experience building software, fixing problems on the spot, and putting it into use.
  • Knowledge and experience with PHP that can be trusted
  • Having knowledge of Javascript and Javascript frameworks like Angular or react
  • Full-stack Cloud-native development, RESTful APIs, and serverless microservices are all things that you should know.
  • Git, Jenkins, and/or Ansible, as well as experience with DevOps.
  • Knowledge of MySQL or a similar relational database platform, as well as experience with it.
  • Microservices know-how.
  • Test Driven Development, data structures, and algorithms are all important.
  • Working skills in both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Not Only SQL) data modeling (Cassandra, MongoDB)
  • Must be able to talk to peers, business analysts, and subject matter experts in a clear way.
  • Must be able to listen to customers and coworkers, communicate ideas well, and put together written documentation.

  • High School diploma, GED, or the High School Equivalency.
