Responsibilities:

As a critical member of the DX Engineering team, you are accountable for the assessment, engineering, integration, and maintenance of Digital Experience (DX) solutions across the organization. the technical design, integration, and implementation of Workplace Services projects and services are coordinated and led. In addition to being in charge of designing, building, configuring, and documenting new and upgraded DX applications and platforms, this person is also required to provide technical leadership.

Defines and maintains all components of the engineering process, including the lab testing, service solution creation, and technical evaluation of services and products. ensures alignment with enterprise technology priorities in close collaboration with the DX Engineering leader. This particular position dealt with the development and fusion of PowerBI and Power Platform services. Candidates should prioritize security and have experience creating, managing, and optimizing permission models, on-premises data gateways, custom connectors for both structured and unstructured services, and working knowledge of a number of scripting languages (M, Power FX, Powershell, etc.).

oversees and coordinates solution engineering activities, Disney resources, and project timelines to make sure requirements are understood, dependencies are established, evaluation procedures are created in accordance with business requirements, and the engineered solution is documented and improved in order to be turned into a future offering. This entails close collaboration with other teams in charge of providing support for a service, especially supplier teams. makes sure that customers are highly satisfied with engineered services.

Make recommendations for and put into practice improvements to solution design and engineering services to improve support capabilities, documentation, and reporting.

Creates and delivers the engineering analysis and design for the solution for DX products and services. This comprises:

  • Informing leadership, tracking projects, and providing status reports and dashboards.
  • Through thorough technical study, evaluates the capabilities of services and products and designs ways to deliver future service offerings.
  • Specifies engineered designs and provides thorough documentation
  • Uses well-structured procedures while analyzing the technical aspects of products and solutions.
  • Develops close connections with supplier and vendor partners
  • Retains thorough awareness of current trends and emerging technologies
  • Establishes service roadmap in close collaboration with DX architects and service managers.

Service Administration

  • Holds routine planning meetings with the Enterprise Technology DX Service Line Management and the DX Architecture team to create a project roadmap for the engineering designs and solutions that have been given to them.
  • Manages the creation and revision of functional requirements and incorporates them into engineering analysis
  • Contributor of primary importance to the creation and documenting of practices and procedures for engineering services based on DX architectural frameworks
  • Creates and updates a performance and capacity prediction in collaboration with operational resources

Control and coordination of the project

  • Oversees projects and makes sure a consistent methodology is applied to accomplish objectives for the budget, scope, and timeline
  • Ensures that milestones, deliverables, and overall project coordination are met
  • Plans and organizes resources for Disney projects.
  • Directs approvals for project change management
  • Examines and confirms project status reports and cost projections.
  • Examines Disney Project Authorization Requests (PAR) to determine the services’ technical impact

Requirements:

Necessary education

  • Information technology or business-related BS or BA degree, or equivalent demonstrated work experience

Necessary expertise:

  • Ten or more years of steadily increasing experience in an IT-related sector
  • 7+ years of experience in the design, implementation, and integration of Power Platform and enterprise-level, highly effective PowerBI applications.
  • Software, dashboard, and report design experience spanning over 7 years with a love for “letting the data tell the story”
  • 5+ years of expertise designing, developing, and integrating organization-wide Power BI and Power Platform controls and settings
  • 3+ years of experience managing significant IT projects
  • Three or more years of experience managing suppliers in an outsourced setting.

Infrastructure

  • Practical Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and ALM Accelerator deployment experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of several scripting languages, including M, Power FX, and Powershell.
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining model-driven applications
  • Superb communication, writing, and presenting abilities
  • Capability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels, including executive levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient engineering and technical analysis abilities
  • Capability to work well in teams and coordinate efforts across matrices of virtual teams and organizations
  • Capability to decipher difficult business or technical facts and create creative solutions
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Focus and team alignment on important initiatives

Preferred knowledge:

  • MCA/MCE certification from Microsoft
  • Fundamentals of the Power Platform, Microsoft Certified
