Salary Range: The typical base salary range for this position is $89,680 – $123,310. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role.

Position Description

Amwell is seeking a Senior Implementation Manager to join its Professional Services team. The Senior Implementation Manager will play a crucial role in the execution of complex telehealth Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation projects by guiding Amwell customers and internal stakeholders through technical, operational, and workflow elements necessary for the effective implementation of the client’s telehealth program.

As a highly motivated and adaptable self-starter, the ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, cross-functional teams, and executives. They must be able to convert ambiguity into achievable outcomes with high client satisfaction while proactively managing identified risks.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage implementations of strategic importance from pre-sales support through post-launch optimization with limited management oversight.

• Conduct thoroughly detailed client workflow discovery, with an accurate understanding of product capabilities and limitations.

• Work seamlessly across functions on complex issues and projects that require an in-depth analysis of different variables.

• Identify and escalate potential implementation risks while managing both client and internal communication and exception processes to mitigate those risks efficiently and proactively.

• Build productive relationships with key contacts at various levels of the organization.

• Serve as a mentor for new or junior employees on best practices associated with the role.

• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the Professional Services organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in healthcare related consultation or technology implementations.

• Record of accomplishment in program, project, and process management.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, team building, people management and customer-focused skills.

• Proven experience managing teams to deliver high-quality results within aggressive timelines.

• Ability to optimize processes, think creatively out of the box and lead change.

• Ability to articulate clear and effective verbal and written presentations to convey ideas.

• Comfortability with project management software.

• Experience managing internal and external stakeholder expectations through effective negotiation and partnering.

• Flexibility to travel approximately 25% annually.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. PMP certification is preferred.

Preferred experience in one or more of the following areas:

• SaaS software implementation

• Healthcare environment

• Telemedicine program deployment, EMR, EHR, HIE, or other health technology systems

The typical base salary range for this position is $89,680 – $123,310. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors. Long-term incentive, short-term variable compensation, and stock options are also offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role.
