Position Description:

This position is part of the Integrated Operations Division’s Cabin & Regulatory Standards group. It is your responsibility to provide engineering teams with analytical support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. Additionally, within the scope of responsibilities, this role creates and aids in maintaining standards for components and aircraft.

How you’ll act

  • investigates aircraft/component issues that could result in delays or cancellations of flights, significant outlays of labor or materials, or interruptions of maintenance operations, and decides on the necessary corrective measures.
  • In order to resolve erroneous circumstances affecting aircraft or components and return them to a usable state, engineering help is provided as needed.
  • collaborates with Maintenance and other airline divisions when supporting initiatives or solving issues requires technical analysis or assistance.
  • Where necessary, coordinates with other airline departments to ensure that engineering dispositions are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  • Prepares engineering paperwork in support of repair, modification, inspection, or other maintenance activities that are beneficial in accordance with airline/departmental goals and management directions.

Everything you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent license in engineering
  • 6 years of related engineering experience or 10 years of experience without a degree
  • Engineering Master’s Degree
  • practical experience with technologies for data analysis and visualization, such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau
  • Project Management practical knowledge of database and spreadsheet programs like SQL

Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other programs.
