You’ll be a part of a nimble SWAT team of engineers and data scientists working for a Fortune 5 firm that develops and supports a backend underwriting application for PBM Underwriters. This application, which supports strategic decision-making, is made up of a number of microservices and data pipelines and was developed in a serverless environment on the Azure cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • In order to create P&L forecasts, you will write/review code and business logic that is developed using a big data system pipeline, a near real-time computing engine, and a UI.
  • Collaboratively develops predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reporting, and performance indicators with business partners in order to comprehend their issues and objectives.
  • Knowing how to define them as analytical challenges and translate key drivers of business value into business prospects
  • Creates presentations and consultations on analytics results and solutions for current and potential constituencies, and takes part in both.
  • Exchanges complex information relating to areas of specialization with peers and supervisors both inside and outside the organization.
  • Provide top employees and internal clients with recommendations. junior team members are mentored. As their single point of contact, autonomously manages the client connection with senior business executives.

Will consider as 100% distant. It is desired that hybrid work be done 2 days every other week at hub locations in Chicago, NYC, Boston/Wellesley, Dallas/Irving, Hartford CT, or Woonsocket RI.

Pay Scale

The usual pay scale for this position is as follows: At least 90,000; The most: 180,000

Please remember that this range represents the salary range for every position in the job grade that this position belongs to. The location is just one of several variables that will be considered when determining the actual compensation offer.

Requirements:

Required credentials

  • Python, Visual Basic, or any other contemporary object-oriented programming language experience of at least two years
  • 2+ years of programming using SQL experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing financial reports and financial predictions in an FP&A business

Recommended Requirements

  • Knowledge in the Underwriting, Actuarial, and Financial Optimization domains from prior experience developing and deploying advanced analytics models
  • Has a solid command of the language used to explain technical ideas and their ramifications to commercial partners.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, computer science, or a related field
  • Finance MBA is a plus
