The Medicare Stars Data Intelligence Team at Aetna is expanding and growing. This is an excellent chance for a Senior Data Engineer to join a productive, collaborative team. The Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) team at Aetna serves the entire Medicare organization by taking part in the design, construction, and administration of massive data structures, pipelines, and ETL workflows. The Data Intelligence team is working to design a framework for building large-scale data structures and pipelines to gather, organize, and standardize data in order to produce insights and meet reporting requirements with an emphasis on challenging business issues. We leverage big data inside a cutting-edge environment to enable data collecting through advanced technology and tools, data modeling methodologies, and ETL processes. In areas like Medicare stars, Service Operations, Patient Safety, population health management, and member experience, we’re concentrated on developing new opportunities that spur change.
Responsibilities:
- To implement and enhance computer systems, analyze problems in science, engineering, business, and other data processing areas.
- Use advanced SQL programming in a data warehouse environment, including the creation of business intelligence applications or the usage of various analysis methods.
- The Medicare Stars Data Ecosystem is managed, built, improved, architected, and maintained.
- Process huge data sets into our Medicare Star Data Engineering settings using challenging ETL. Investigate, scrutinize, and evaluate vast amounts of data in a variety of formats.
- Analyze organized and unstructured data to find solutions to moderately challenging business issues.
- Testing the Medicare Stars data warehouse from beginning to end and putting in place the right validation procedures to manage data quality.
- To assure the accuracy and completeness of the data, create automated data quality routines.
- Using suitable research designs and statistical techniques, plan and carry out analysis and outcome studies using data from lab, pharmacy, and healthcare claims.
- Create, test, and implement algorithms, data models, and reporting tools that provide answers to business and applied research problems for both internal and external clients.
- Develop and deliver analytical solutions in support of business activities in the healthcare industry that support short- and long-term goals.
- Creates database systems, writes ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and creates tools for offline and online analytical processing.
- Data transformation and model and algorithm integration into automated processes are done in collaboration with the client team.
- builds data pipelines using expertise in the Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and experience developing and optimizing queries.
- builds sturdy data pipelines and dynamic systems using programming skills in Python, Microsoft Studio, or any other popular language.

Pay Scale
The usual pay scale for this position is as follows:
- At least 90,000
- The most: 180,000

Requirements:
Required credentials
- 4-5 years’ experience in the following connected fields
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both within and between teams.
- Ability to verbally and in writing explain technical concepts and outcomes to clients who are not technically inclined.
- Demonstrated aptitude for coming up with original solutions to extremely difficult technical issues.
- The ability to examine and modify huge data sets from many data sources using a variety of tools and programming languages.
- The capacity to comprehend, create, and solve difficult analytical issues.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL Server and/or DB2, SSIS, ASP, C#, Visual Studio, SAS, and other related technologies.
- Understanding of HDFS commands, the Hadoop architecture, and expertise creating and optimizing searches against data in an HDFS environment.
- Knowledge of designing and implementing data processing and transformation systems.
- Possesses in-depth understanding of creating high volume data pipelines and large-scale search applications.
- Many years of related experience getting progressively more complicated.
- Working knowledge of cloud platform systems and big data (GCP).
