Responsibilities:
Segment support is a responsibility.
- Promote the holistic well-being pillars of physical, emotional, financial, and social well-being.
- By recognizing and describing the effects of company efforts on employees and the business, you may offer data-driven, strategic consultation on benefits offerings to Human Resources, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, and other stakeholders.
- Engage segment stakeholders in regular check-ins and offer benefits consultation to address their specific employee and company needs within the Enterprise Benefits framework.
- Identify and resolve problems with Enterprise Benefits strategy, plan designs, and policies; act as a thought partner for business requirements.
- Modeling the effects of “what if” situations (such as transfers, re-orgs, changes in plan design, mergers and acquisitions) on employee experience and financial results
- Aid in the management of change for mergers and acquisitions, plan design modifications, organizational restructuring, and new programs and initiatives.
- Create and lead benefit presentations for various Company segments and levels, including staff and senior leadership.
- Respond to business emergencies as soon as possible while preserving the company’s key principles and standards.
- Carry out additional obligations and tasks as directed
Support for Labor Relations
- Participate in roundtable labor negotiations and offer Labor Relations strategic advice
- Maintain the integrity of plan designs and policies while integrating labor and corporate demands into the enterprise benefits strategy.
- Maintain internal reference materials on benefits entitlement and eligibility for a variety of CBAs and employee categories.
- Lead the organization’s cross-functional partners and consultants in data collection to support the complete life cycle of a collective bargaining agreement.
- Modeling the financial impact of benefit bargaining proposals on employee experience
- Help with the writing and approval of main table proposals that have advantages in mind
- Oversee the implementation of benefit adjustments and make sure that the stipulated language is followed
Policies & Compliance for Paid Time Off
- Keep an eye out for changes in the legal and regulatory environment that could have an effect on the company’s paid time off policies and other benefit programs.
- To determine the market relevance of paid time off policies, do research, collaborate with consultants, benchmark, and create an ongoing PTO plan.
- Collaborate with other HR departments to track project progress and offer compliance advice.
- Keep internal reference materials on paid leave laws (PFML, statutory paid sick leave, statutory PTO) up to date.
- Lead projects for paid time off that are both cyclical and one-time, such as updating DTools HR’s employee-facing PTO knowledge articles and maintaining the company’s holiday calendar.
- Aid in updating the employee policy manual annually for relations with employees
- Aid Total Rewards partners in yearly Total Rewards Statement revisions
Requirements:
Qualifications requisite
- 5+ years of experience working in benefits operations in a big, complicated company
- Working across the many Well-Being dimensions and at all levels of the benefits function
- Experience handling sensitive information that has been proven
- A capacity for data analysis, trend identification, conclusion-making, and story-telling
- Competent with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and custom formulas)
- Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including ERISA and HIPAA
- Able to occasionally travel as needed

- Having managed in a unionized context and/or negotiating contracts
- Certification in CEBS, SHRM, or a comparable field
- A track record of working well in large teams

Necessary education
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in human resources, benefits administration, accounting/finance, wellness design/administration, or a similar profession.

- Because of the hybrid nature of this position, the employee will spend some time on-site at a location chosen by the company and the rest of the time working from home.
