Position Description

GuidePoint Security is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer in the Southeast region. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in application security. This is a full-time role requiring deep knowledge of manual testing tools such as Burp Suite Pro and SAST/DAST/SCA application security tools such as Netsparker, Veracode, and others. The job is primarily remote, and some travel may be required for certain positions. Responsibilities

– Acting as a mentor to team members
– Running client SAST/DAST/SCA tools, reviewing outputs and providing recommendations
– Performing manual-based assessments or application-focused pen testing
– Performing code reviews
– Assisting with pre-sales and support customer presentations
– Implementing integrations for tools into pipelines, ticketing systems, etc.

Qualifications

– At least 5 years of experience working in application security
– Deep knowledge of manual testing tools such as Burp Suite Pro
– Knowledge of and experience with SAST/DAST/SCA application security tools
– Experience with the integration of tools into development pipelines
– Experience with reviewing source code written in JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, PHP, or C# a plus
– Strong communication skills that include the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and distill complex problems into digestible pieces of information
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security preferred
– Standard industry certifications are preferred
