The Sr Analyst, Application Development for Retail Systems will work as part of the Front Store Retail Merchandising/Inventory/Marketing/Data Warehouse team, designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence and data warehousing projects with extensive technical knowledge in Database Development.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in key business initiatives and advise business partners on business and IT technical solutions.
- Collect requirements and produce architectural, detail design, and mapping documents.
- Examine and deconstruct functional requirements and mapping documents.
- Based on the design documents, create queries, Oracle PL/SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Database Triggers, and Materialized Views.
- Create and maintain data models in Oracle as well as across multiple database technologies when applicable.
- UNIX/Linux shell scripting experience is required.
- Responsible for resolving design and development problems and providing appropriate solutions.
- Work with team leaders to provide assistance and input in the preparation of critical User Acceptance scenarios.
- Assist with product deployment and migration within the production environment.
- Contribute to production support activities and problem resolution as needed.
Pay Scale
The typical salary range for this position is: The minimum is 70,000; 140,000 is the maximum allowed.
Please keep in mind that this range represents the average pay for all positions in the job grade in which this position is located. The actual salary offer will consider a variety of factors, including location.
Requirements:
Qualifications Required
- 3+ years of experience in database development including data modeling and data integration design
- 3+ years of MySQL or Oracle experience
- 1+ years of experience in one or more of the retail domains listed below: Item Management, Vendor Management, Store Master Management, Inventory Management, Retail Pricing, and Forecasting/Replenishment are all aspects of item management.
Qualifications Preferred
- Extensive experience developing processes to support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency, and metadata.
- Experience with Control-M or other equivalent workload automation software for job scheduling and workflow orchestration.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent is required.
