Responsibilities:
The Verizon Threat Research Advisory Team, a division of Verizon’s Professional Services, is looking for Threat Intelligence Hunters/Analysts (Analysts) who can play a key part in defending Verizon’s customers against present and emerging cyberthreats. This position will assist our customer’s efforts to analyze cyber threats broadly.
- Tackling difficult threat intelligence problems using scientific and technical knowledge to create written evaluations at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
- Educating enterprises, such as Fortune 500 firms, on their findings and has the knowledge necessary to respond to challenging queries from C-Level executives.
- Using knowledge of the hacker mindset and techniques to accomplish their goals.
- Autonomous work and self-motivation.
- Utilizing expertise and knowledge to recognize risks that constitute a serious threat to their client’s company and recognizing when there is no risk at all.
- Producing, gathering, and enhancing targeted threat intelligence.
- Considerably advancing the inquiries and research of the larger team.
- Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for the TTPs of cyber threat actors.

Requirements:
You will require:
- Four or more years of job experience and a bachelor’s degree.
- Four or more years of experience in the relevant field.
- Knowledge of the research, investigation, and monitoring of danger actors and threat groups in the ecosystem of cybercrime.
- The ability to identify risks and IOCs by examining data and records relating to computers and networks.
- Knowledge of tracing cybercriminals and threat actors from nation states.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, roughly.

- The capacity to function well in a distributed, remote team context.
- Intelligence analysis expertise, including analytical skills.
- Possessing investigative mindset and investigative experience.
- Experience with cyber investigations and operations, counterintelligence, and/or intelligence.
- Experience as a special agent or cyber threat intelligence analyst for Cyber Command, Homeland Security, NCIS, OSI, or the FBI.
- Experience working as a malware analyst, incident responder, penetration tester, or midlevel to senior SOC/CERT analyst at a public company or cyber investigations agency.
- The capacity to always seek ways to improve present procedures.
- Experience with data breach incidents, vulnerability disclosures, and contemporary hacking methodologies.
- Ability to create, write, and publish blogs, research, technical reports, and other business-level documents of the highest caliber.
- Understanding of IP services and networking.
- Understanding of operating system principles and how they apply to the network stack (client & server).
