Kelly is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to work on a temporary basis for 2 months with our customer in the biotech field, with the possibility of extending and/or getting hired on! This is a fantastic chance to join the productive accounting team of a cutting-edge business that is regarded as a pioneer in immune-driven treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Examining completed invoices
  • Offer account coding advice to new merchants.
  • Create test runs.
  • Start ACH and wire transfers
  • Communicate with outside vendors
  • Prepare timely closing entries for all accounts payable-related transactions.
  • Check for spending and reporting compliance
  • As required, create ad hoc reports.
  • Analytical evaluation of significant expenditures for period-end reporting
  • Improve and increase efficiency in the accounts payable process.
  • Prepare disclosure documentation for the relevant sections of the 10-Q and 10-K
  • Conduct Sarbanes-Oxley checks in your domain of responsibility.
  • As required, provide support for the audit
  • Control the overseas AP team’s actions
  • Check team output to ensure the invoice and actual bill are the same.
  • Make sure that bills are properly approved and are accounted for with any necessary amortization schedules.

Requirements:

  • Experience in accounts payable of at least two years.
  • Excel proficiency and a rapid learning curve are requirements (experience with Oracle NetSuite would be a plus but is not required)
  • The capacity to function both alone and as a successful team
  • Adaptable to processes that are evolving and changing
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them on time in a hectic setting Well-organized, responsible, and proactive with an extraordinary attention to detail and proven analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and speaking
  • Willingness to put up more hours during busy times
