Position Description

Randstad is seeking a Senior Accountant for a non-profit organization located in Carlisle, PA, to join its growing team. This highly visible position entails working under the supervision of the Controller, with a dotted line to the CFO. The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:

– Review and/or prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries.
– Assist with periodic financial review and budget analysis meetings.
– Prepare audit schedules and work together with auditors to complete annual agency audits.
– Review all payroll tax reports, W-2s, and 1099’s.
– Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
– Prepare grant invoices and reconciliations, and ensure compliance to make appropriate drawdown of funds.
– Maintain current retirement fund amounts and required transfer of payment.
– Review with CFO that accounting activities comply with all applicable grant policies and governing agreements.

Qualifications

– At least 4 years of experience as an accountant is required.
– Experience in a non-profit organization is preferred.
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
