Wondery is seeking a Senior Account Executive to oversee our quickly expanding Automotive division under the direction of the Head of Revenue. It’s an exciting moment to work for a firm that is rapidly expanding in the new media sector and to be in charge of a key business area that has the potential to have a significant influence.
To make Wondery the top podcast ad network worldwide, this person will collaborate closely with the Head of Revenue, Senior Manager of Ad Sales, and other Wondery team members. In order to scale our revenue, create multi-channel programs, and innovate based on customer needs in a global growth environment, this function is a crucial element of the sales team. It is focused on using close relationships and market research to make judgments.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about selling integrated advertising solutions to T1 & T2 automotive clients, and their ad agencies, in order to successfully grow and scale the domestic revenues for the category. The ideal candidate will have previously held a similar role in a structured sales organization, ideally at a media company, or related media brand. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to their assigned clients and agencies to ensure that all business goals are achieved because they have strong and long-standing client-side and agency relationships within the automotive space, a well-honed consultative sales approach, and a thorough understanding of the podcasting landscape.
- Leading calls and meetings to uncover needs, provide updates, structure campaign proposals, negotiate contracts, and get project feedback are among the responsibilities. Continually develop the quality and quantity of opportunities required to achieve category goals, providing regular funnel activity/updates. Achieve monthly KPIs, such as achieving the company’s key performance indicators.
- Develops quotes and proposals for new projects; builds project budgets and statements of work; cultivates and seeks out new opportunities within current clients and agencies; prospects new clients and assists in closing deals. • Manages client projects from start to finish and collaborates with internal teams on timelines, internal and external communication, resources, and deliverables.

Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- A background in establishing new customer relationships
- 4+ years’ experience in B2B sales
Experience with automotive category sales at a media company, with a focus on T1 client consultation with Detroit-based domestic brands; Bring well-established and high-level client-side and media agency relationships; Experience with automotive marketing, audio, or other media sales; Experience with negotiation and relationship-building skills with sales teams (and ideally with content creators, agencies, and brands); Prior knowledge or experience s
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; the ability to work cross-functionally and with a variety of employees with a wide range of skill sets; experience selling at the C-level; experience selling through large-scale audio programs to T1 and T2 automotive brands; experience selling through podcasts and videos; and the ability to use sales CRM tools like Salesforce or comparable.

Our pay is in line with the cost of labor in different US regions. In our lowest geographic area, the basic salary for this position is $108,200 year, and in our highest geographic region, it is $201,200 annually. Pay is based on a number of variables, including market location, and may change in accordance with knowledge, abilities, and experience pertinent to the position.
