Responsibilities:

  • Welcome, screen, and direct all guests in accordance with the rules.
  • Enforce parking and security regulations fairly and consistently.
  • Observe company property, spot, and report security and safety risks.
  • As instructed, secure the property.
  • Completes and gives permits for hot work.
  • Does out checks in accordance with hot work permit procedures to maintain safety at ESPN sites.
  • Carries out fire watch duties in specified hot work zones.
  • Disclose pertinent general information to customers and staff.
  • Check the security system’s general operation.
  • Perform access control tasks at outdoor posts with high traffic in accordance with specified protocols.
  • Follow the stated inspection protocols when performing vehicle inspections.
  • May keep an eye on the fire alarm control panel and decipher the alarm indicators for the kind and location of emergencies. Move quickly to the potential emergency area, assess the situation, make a decision, and take action within three (3) minutes of the alarm going off.
  • May help with fleet vehicle maintenance planning.
  • As trained, may respond to crises and occurrences involving medicine, fire, security, and other aspects of safety; may also produce thorough reports by following established protocols.
  • A security presence for special events (on or off campus) could be requested.
  • You might occasionally be asked to erect barriers, manage gates, and generally control traffic for both vehicles and people.
  • As needed, you might be asked to do unique tasks.
  • Create work orders with accuracy, including the requestor’s name, address, and the kind of service required.
  • Determine craft for all common requests.
  • May produce work orders and send maintenance workers to the specified work orders’ right locations.
  • Aid in the tracking and distribution of relevant departmental keys.
  • To improve communication between groups, it may be useful to monitor handheld radio channels for HVAC, electrical, maintenance, construction, and safety.
  • All facility service requests may be received and handled via phone, email, and radio.
  • It’s possible to keep an eye on the primary company’s external phone line and appropriately divert incoming calls.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Must have and keep a driver’s license that is good in Texas.
  • A year or more of experience in customer service or a similar field.
  • Must pass a background check, DMV check, and urine drug test before being hired.
  • Must currently hold a non-commissioned security officer license in the State of Texas and keep it current, or be able to receive one within 30 days.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of hours and days off, as well as permitted overtime.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Outlook for email when performing basic work duties on a computer.
  • Always present yourself and your conversations in a professional manner.
  • Must finish the training needed for a hot work permit.
  • Clear focus on teamwork
  • The capacity to work independently within set parameters
  • Ability to decipher audiovisual signals is required in order to recognize the type of alarm and react in accordance with specified protocol.
  • In order to prevent disruptions to production and transmission activities, the ability to monitor the fire alarm panel and quickly respond to locations throughout the facility is required.

Preferred credentials:

  • Excellent talents in client service
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in law enforcement or security.
  • Superior writing skills and a solid understanding of English grammar
  • Strong decision-making, judgment, and leadership abilities
  • Highly flexible and capable of making wise choices under duress
  • Having the ability to drive company vehicles, including fleet and golf carts
  • Able to assume leadership and negotiate in challenging circumstances
  • Managing service requests requires at least one (1) year of expertise in facilities management or a related sector.

Necessary education

  • Equivalent to a high school diploma
