Your main duties as an Insurance Sales Representative working solely on commission will be to generate leads, turn prospects into customers, and offer insurance plans to people and companies. Finding new customers will be your responsibility using a variety of techniques like cold calling, networking, referrals, and other sales techniques. In order to cultivate long-term relationships and reach out to potential consumers, the role requires a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • 1. Use cold calling, networking, and other lead generation strategies to find possible clients.
  • 2. Carry out in-depth needs analyses to comprehend clients’ insurance requirements.
  • 3. Provide clients with information about insurance policy options, such as coverage specifics, benefits, and rates.
  • 4. Tailor insurance plans to each client’s unique requirements.
  • 5. Follow up with leads and stay in touch with them along the sales cycle.
  • 6. Effectively finish sales deals and negotiate terms.
  • 7. Deliver top-notch customer service to preserve client happiness and guarantee retention.
  • 8. Remain current with laws, insurance offerings, and market changes.
  • 9. Achieve or surpass sales goals and quotas.
  • 10. Ensure that the CRM system contains accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions.

Note: The only source of income for this role is commissions from closed sales; there is no base pay. The amount of compensation will depend on how many and how much insurance plans are sold. Applicants should be driven to achieve in a performance-oriented atmosphere and at ease with income volatility.

Requirements:

  • 1. Proven sales experience, ideally in the insurance sector.
  • 2. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • 3. Capacity to establish rapport and confidence with customers.
  • 4. Results-oriented and self-motivated.
  • 5. Outstanding persuasive and negotiating abilities.
  • 6. The capacity for independent work and efficient time management.
  • 7. It is advisable to be knowledgeable about insurance goods and rules.
  • 8. Completion of high school or its equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is advantageous.
  • 9. Depending on the area and kind of insurance being sold, certain licenses and certificates could be needed.
  • 10. The ability to labor for commission exclusively.
