Responsibilities:
As a Zscaler Sales Engineer, you and your regional sales managers will be in charge of assisting clients in changing how they approach network and application access by introducing potential customers to the Zscaler platform, developing and delivering product demonstrations, obtaining technical requirements from clients, collaborating with clients to create evaluation test plans, and overseeing the evaluation process through to completion.
The sales engineer needs to have a solid technical background and a strong vision for converting business goals into appealing and implementable solution designs in order to achieve this. The sales engineer will support the customer’s transformational journey by serving as a reliable technical and business advisor.

- Your written and vocal communication abilities are excellent. Whether they are executives, architects, or operators, your demos and presentations to potential partners, customers, and prospects are clear, educational, and customized for each group.
- As you learn, contribute, and exchange best practices, you will establish connections with peers across Zscaler.
- From beginning to end, you are in charge of the technical sales process. You collaborate with your regional sales manager to find, evaluate, and scope opportunities; create and manage account and territory plans; and carry out proof of concept engagements as necessary to turn opportunities into technical wins.
- Strong bonds are continually being forged and maintained with important customer stakeholders, reseller partners, and internal Zscaler resources—all of whom are vital to your clients’ success.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or a comparable program of study plus at least four years of experience as a systems integrator or SE
- Outstanding expertise and track record in closing deals with business customers. awareness of enterprise network security technologies, such as firewalls, proxies, caches, SSL/TLS, GRE and IPsec tunneling, DNS, load balancing, SD-WAN, VPNs, DLP, antivirus software, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS), malware detonation/sandboxing, killchain, and analytics, among others.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise installing, configuring, and managing Windows, UNIX/Linux, and router/switch systems (previous GPO, Active Directory/LDAP, and SSO/SAML experience desirable)
- Practical experience, including troubleshooting, using switching and routing tools.
- You have experience working with channel partners and possess a strong grasp of a go to market strategy that is channel-centric.
- You are aware of the consequences that SaaS-based technologies have for businesses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly resolve complicated multivariate issues under pressure by following a methodical approach.
