A minimum of two years of experience with bleeding disorders, home infusion, and/or infusion centers is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Offer clinical expertise to evaluate patients, identify homecare clinical needs, and coordinate care with licensed home health agencies as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assess clinical infusion and home care competence to evaluate the Home Health Agency’s (HHA) capacity to deliver adequate treatment.
• Teach and authorize agencies to offer care once partner nurse educators have determined their level of proficiency.
• Manage bleeding disorders and sickle cell disease; *Teach certified home care providers about medication and home infusion therapy;
• Complete clinical input into numerous data systems, including demographics, clinical status, and HHA information.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure a smooth process for supply inventories, site of care, safe medication practices, and on-time medicine shipments.
• Oversee a caseload of patients who require specialized therapy and recognize any problems that might compromise the recommended course of action.
• Ask about Nursing Benefit Verification and let patients know which payers support nursing visits.
• Manage and maintain licensing requirements across many states in collaboration with the licensing team.
• Complete other tasks as given.

Requirements:

• A registered nurse having the capacity to get a license in each of the 50 states and a current license in a state covered by the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Knowledge of and experience with infusion therapy supplies and pumps;
• Excellent customer service approach in verbal and written communication;
• Minimum five years of demonstrated recent clinical nursing experience in bleeding disorders and/or sickle cell;
• Two years of experience in home infusion OR infusion clinic with specialty medications.
• Demonstrated experience solving problems.
• Excellent computer and organizing abilities, particularly with Microsoft Office.
• The capacity to multitask and operate various monitors and medication systems.

Education: RN diploma, nursing associate’s or bachelor’s degree

Pay Range

For this position, the usual salary range is: $116,800.00 – $54,095.60
