An Assistant Program Supervisor is now needed to oversee the operations of a group of direct care staff members at Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety, a program of Children’s Home Society located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

What You Will Do

  • Client Relations: Make sure clients have their safety, emotional, and physical needs satisfied. As needed, approve, deny, or end adult and child shelter stays. For both adult and child abuse victims, offer case management and direct crisis assistance.
  • Team Management: Take part in suggestions for staff members to be hired and fired. Organize daily shift tasks, such as staffing children in care, finishing meal counts, giving medication to children in placement, and arranging transportations. Assign and oversee the case loads of the employees. Help to schedule needs and make sure shifts are covered. Call daily meetings for shift changes. Set goals for performance, track it, and give allocated staff performance reviews.
  • Outreach Services: Send out the right referrals. Speaking with DSS, placing agencies, and community partners, coordinate and communicate.
  • Data Management: Fill out all required paperwork and documents. Review client files often, and follow up with staff members if you have any issues. Organise client files and documents.
  • Program Management: Verify adherence to all necessary regulatory requirements and Agency policy. Make that safe childcare procedures are followed. Help to maintain the shelter tidy and orderly. As designated, serve in the rotation of on-call.
  • Professional Growth: Show up for meetings as needed. Finished the yearly training that is necessary. Keep up necessary credentials and proficiency.
  • Help train volunteers, interns, and both new and current staff members. Call and lead team meetings.
  • Safety, Policies and Procedures: Verify that infection control policies and safety standards are followed.
