This Product Developer assists the Mickey’s of Glendale Product Development Assistant Manager in developing and implementing products that support Walt Disney Imagineering’s brand and sales goals. They also help with sourcing product/art development flow from concept to final product for MOG apparel, hard lines, souvenirs, and internal business unit/project team orders.

Responsibilities:

The MOG Product Development Assistant Manager will be your primary point of contact.

  • Supports for Sourcing and Product Development To create and develop products that support Walt Disney Imagineering’s brand and sales objectives, the MOG Product Development Assistant Manager
  • Create and design a pin assortment using a concept-to-product art development flow.
  • Help with sourcing for MOG gear, hard lines, souvenirs, and internal business unit/project team orders from concept to final product.
  • align yourself with The Walt Disney Company’s and Walt Disney Imagineering’s vendor selection standards while negotiating on behalf of those organizations’ objectives.
  • Assist and keep track of milestones, such as internal approvals, production schedules, and product releases, in the development process.
  • To ensure that all goods pass the Product Safety & Reliability testing and Federal safety regulations, work with The Walt Disney Company Quality Assurance Program.
  • Keep an eye on market trends, attend national trade exhibitions for purchase when necessary, and supervise.

Advertising 5%

  • Provides assistance with merchandise planograms and in-store visual design

Loss Administration and Prevention 5%

  • Actively encourage good Loss Prevention in accordance with corporate rules and procedures to secure company assets.
  • Encourages and upholds a secure environment for both work and shopping

Requirements:

Technical Expertise

  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of the following computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Power Point.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and the ability to engage with colleagues, management, and customers within and across all business units
  • Strong organizational abilities, adaptability, and multitasking capacity
  • Demonstrated aptitude for judgment, diplomacy, and adaptability
  • Driven, focused on getting the job done, and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to operate as a team player in a retail setting that is both fast-paced and high-energy
  • Display knowledge in visual marketing

Basic Requirements/You Will Have

  • Experience managing production scheduling and management for at least two years, including product development.
  • Desired: a thorough knowledge of graphic merchandising concepts. Strong preference for prior graphic design training or expertise

Required Education

  • Two years of college or its equivalent

The salary range for this remote job is $52,398.00 to $70,290.00 per year, taking into account different geographical areas. Internal equity will be taken into consideration when determining the basic pay that is actually offered, and it may also change based on the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, abilities, and experience, among other things. Depending on the level and job offered, the remuneration package may include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units in addition to the complete range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
