Responsibilities:
- Uses agile technique to define user stories and UX deliverables with a cross-functional team.
- Based on UX best practices, design principles, and research, has an impact on design and product owner decisions.
- Works in partnership with developers to deliver solutions in the most effective, quick, and efficient way possible.
- Gathers, evaluates, presents, acts on, and manages feedback on deliverables
- Presents work to stakeholders in a straightforward and persuasive manner (able to justify design ideas by citing industry best practices, research findings, or business requirements)
- Develops the applications’ and experiences’ visual aesthetic, user interface, and interaction flow.
- Creates wireframes, prototypes, visual mockups, and conceptual diagrams
- Creates and keeps up with precise specs and design patterns
- Collects and converts rules and resources into UX programs, systems, and business solutions.
- UX documentation (such as navigational flows, wireframes, mock-ups, use cases, task flow prototypes, content, and system faults) is created, managed, updated, and distributed.
- Advocates for users and works with business owners to provide features and workflows that are in line with users’ requirements
- Develops research ideas, scripts, and scenarios for prototype usability tests based on project KPIs. Create and test hypothese frequently while going through design iterations.
- Determines the usability and understanding of designs and concepts through research approaches (heuristic evaluations, user interviews, remote unmoderated testing, and in-person testing).
- Creates, schedules, and moderates user interviews and usability studies.
- Timely status reporting on all projects (including work still to be done, difficulties, and hazards)
- Oversees all communications required for the project’s completion, including negotiations with important stakeholders.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, human factors engineering, computer science, visual design, library sciences, or a related field is required, or comparable experience or training
- 2 years of experience as a UX practitioner with training in interaction design, user experience design, or a related field
Prior work experience and education are preferred qualifications.
- A master’s degree in human-computer interaction, human factors engineering, computer science, visual design, library sciences, or a related field is required, or comparable experience or training.
- 3+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with training in interaction design, user experience design, or a related field
Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications
- Strong knowledge of Axure, Sketch, Zeplin, Flinto, and other contemporary design and prototyping technologies
- Knowledge of closely collaborating with developers throughout the entire implementation process in an agile setting
- Advanced analytical abilities for tackling complicated data issues and putting into practice long-term fixes
- A track record of successful collaboration across disciplines, product lines, roles, time zones, and even geography
- Understanding of and competence with remote unmoderated test tools and moderated test platforms
- Thorough knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques
- Having a firm grasp of current online and app design trends as well as a strong awareness of user-centered design principles
- Strong organizational abilities, as well as the capacity to categorize, label, and logically construct flows and wireframes for sophisticated computer programs, are advantages.
- Having experience iterating concepts quickly to provide to development teams and conduct user testing
- Understanding of responsive, adaptable, and accessible designs
- The capacity to coordinate numerous projects simultaneously and effectively interact with non-technical users
