Responsibilities:
- Lead the team through the successful development, feasibility, design, production, and delivery of theatrical and family entertainment events for Disney Cruise Line.
- Recognize the stakeholders, consider the big picture, and use partnerships.
- Serve as a leader or leader to direct and indirect reports in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
- With a focus on removing obstacles for the entire team, work closely with the show’s or creative director to support their creative vision, innovation, and immersive storytelling.
- Responsible for contract negotiations and, where required, compromising on creativity or design.
- Assist in preserving the guest experience throughout product installations and rehearsals by working together with and supporting the cruise director and the operations support crew.
- Accountable for securing financing for assigned projects through capital and operational funding requests, communicating the effects of operational expense increases, and supervising the production manager, who is in charge of the finances.
- Inform all levels of leadership with project concepts and important details while keeping in mind the company’s overall efficiency goals and objectives.
- Exemplify leadership, direction, and Cast Members must be able to give brief, clear instructions to all project team members in order to meet project objectives.
- Promote safety, environmental protection, diversity, and other corporate activities with the goal of improving the guest/cast experience and generating financial results.
- Promote a culture and environment that are in line with the objectives and financial goals of Disney Cruise Line and Disney Parks Live Entertainment.
- For prescribed tasks, substantial travel is required.
Requirements:
Basic requirements:
- 8 years minimum in a strong, varied team leadership position in the production of entertainment shows, live events, and/or technical disciplines.
- Experience in project management of at least five years.
- Theater technology, such as lighting, special effects, fireworks, audio, projection, show systems, costuming, set design, and construction, should be understood and used on a regular basis.
- Demonstrated capacity for organizing, giving guidance, and completing many things quickly.
- Computer skills include knowledge of the Microsoft Office program suite, spreadsheet and presentation software, Microsoft Outlook, as well as file-sharing and collaboration tools, and a proven aptitude for learning new software programs.
- Strong interpersonal connections abilities, capacity to drive conflict resolution, and demonstrably successful team-building and cross-functional collaboration experiences.
- The capacity to promote ongoing process improvement.
- Strong problem-solving abilities that improve the success of any endeavor.
- Shown outstanding presentational abilities.

- When necessary, I’m available and willing to work the third shift, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred credentials:
- Understanding of the operations and production of entertainment in a theme park, cruise ship, or professional theatre setting.
- Fluency in any additional language—German, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Japanese, etc.—is an advantage.
Qualifications in Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in entertainment, design, or a related field.
