Responsibilities:
- Important job duties include managing and supervising the evaluations of all data facilities in the AMER – WEST region. Make that all security flaws discovered throughout this review process are documented and that appropriate mitigation measures are performed to address them.
- Work closely with Amazon Security clients to analyze security-related paperwork and explain how all physical security standards and rules should be implemented in their actual environment.
- To improve the security posture of our data facilities, develop and evaluate innovative and cutting-edge technology and security measures for potential integration with the current set of security procedures and measures.
- Assist the global SPEAR Team in deciding the Amazon Physical Security Program’s strategic direction based on consumer interactions and tangible results.
- Remain completely up to date on stakeholder and customer engagement status, challenges, and activities with the Amazon Security leadership team.
- Keep up with current events and business trends. Establish and develop relationships with important business leaders and manufacturers.
Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of experience with video surveillance systems, access control, and/or physical security principles.
- 7+ years of experience reviewing current facilities and putting Physical Security Principles to use in real-world situations encountered on the job.
- 7+ years of experience analyzing cutting-edge and novel physical security technologies and apparatus.
- Five or more years of expertise with crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED).
- The ability to travel locally and abroad for up to 50% of your working hours.
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Expertise in evaluating the physical security of individuals, organizations, and systems, such as access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
- A thorough knowledge of cloud computing services.
- Public speaking experience and competence.
- Knowledge on how to create effective assessment programs.
- The capacity for successful communication with people of both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Outstanding writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven track record of managing and leading a team of people who are spread out geographically.
- Proven ability to brief and communicate with management at all levels.
- A track record of attention to detail and the capacity to self-motivate and complete projects.
- Proven expertise in the use of physical security systems, investigation methodologies, supervision of contract security guards, and incident management, among other physical security best practices.
- The capacity to handle sensitive data with care.
- Capability of integrating into a global workplace.
- Meets or exceeds the standards of this role’s leadership principles at Amazon.
- Exceeds or meets the functional/technical depth requirements set out by Amazon for this role.
