The Oakland, California branch of a national law firm has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal! Joining the litigation team, this litigation paralegal will concentrate only on trial support. You will support numerous attorneys during all stages of trial as a litigation paralegal at this company, including trial preparation and in-court trial support. This job is ideal for you if you want to expand your trial experience with a reputable law practice. As a hybrid position, the Litigation Paralegal will be allowed to work from home occasionally but will also occasionally be required to work on-site in the Oakland, California office and at the courts. The ideal candidate will have at least five to ten years’ experience as a paralegal in civil litigation; experience in trial preparation is necessary to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Create trial binders
- Gather trial exhibits
- Review all discoverable information in documents
- Create presentations and supporting materials using trial software
- During a trial, assist the attorneys in the courtroom
- Arrange for witnesses + tasks given to
Requirements:
- Prior trial preparation experience is essential for consideration
- 5–10 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation in California
- Certification as a Paralegal is Highly Preferable Plus Being able to work in an office when necessary strong technical proficiency with MS Suite and other software
